We are looking for a person to join our APAC team as
PRODUCT ASIA-PACIFIC SALES MANAGER
Poralu Marine is a company specialized in marina and floating harbour equipment supply, installation and maintenance. With 2 factories in France and Canada, sales offices in about 40 countries, and more than 8,000 projects installed across five continents, Poralu Marine has lifted itself as an international leader in its field. With the backing of an R&D department at the forefront of technology, Poralu Marine now offers an extensive range of products: leisure marina pontoons, private jetties, bridges, catwalks, landing stages, Seabin etc.
Based at Port (Ain) in France (head office), Poralu Marine employs 150 people and generates a consolidated turnover of €30 million, of which 70% comes from international contracts.
Working under the Asia Pacific Area Manager, after a training period and field exploration, you will oversee the development and the structuration of our network of agents and distributors to grow sales for specific products in the region.
To achieve this goal, you will:
– Evaluate the current network of sales partners and distributors to confirm/infirm the viability of the current and future collaboration with these entities – Build a strategy adapted to areas/countries in accordance with each market specificities – Develop and strengthen the agent and distributor network: identification of the main players, selection of the suitable partner, negotiation of contracts – Challenge and manage this agent and distributor network: training, advices and support, implementation of sales and follow-up tools, creation of a dynamic and collaborative work model… – Handle direct sales actions to key customers within the region: ports authorities or marinas, Harbourmasters, marine contractors, private companies, local or national public entities, etc… – Participate to commercial events across the region: shows, conferences, customer events – Report the sales activity to the APAC Area Manager but as well to the Product line manager in France – Coordinate the after-sales service
From a technical or sales background, you would like to reinforce your B to B sales and negotiation abilities. Minimum of 5 years of experience in management and development of a product related agent and distribution network in the APAC region. Someone who connects with people and can build personal relationships, organized, autonomous, self-motivated and aimed by challenges exceeding sales goal. Excellent professional English abilities, French and another Asian language would be a plus Job based in Bali, Indonesia. A first life experience in South-East Asia is requested. A 2 to 3 weeks mandatory training and integration program in France and Hong Kong will be implemented.
