Bali ceremonyToday is Pagerwesi Day in Bali. ‘Pager’ literally means fence in Javanese and ‘Wesi’ means iron. It is a day to fortify oneself from evil. It is the third most celebrated holiday in Bali, after Galungan and Nyepi.

The day has a close relationship to Saraswati, which was celebrated three days ago. Balinese celebrate the day by making offerings, praying in their houses and visiting temples.

Yesterday we attended a ceremony at my friend’s land he just bought.
